What a beautiful view can be had from this restaurant! Located in Ghirardelli Square, it overlooks the San Francisco Bay with its different variety of boats. The room is spacious and tables are well spaced. The decor is elegant with a high ceiling and oversized windows with leaded glass borders. The linen tablecloths complement the spacious room and its polished copper trim. The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of fresh seafood. The day we visited there were seven different varieties of oysters on the menu along with salmon, sturgeon, bass, mussels, sole, crayfish, ahi, mahi mahi, caviar, thresher shark, trout, lobster, to name just a few. The menu also contains pasta, meat, and poultry dishes, but they are at a minimum. The wine list features over one hundred selections from glasses to magnums. The wait staff is attentive and informative. A less formal menu is served in the Crabcake Lounge.
