Boston once had a Stage Deli in the theater district, but it never caught on. The ones in NYC have certainly caught on. The main deli appears to be at 834 Seventh Avenue, but we went to a smaller version on the East Side. The decor there is "typical deli," a little stark with nothing fancy. There is very little ambiance. Formica topped tables line a windowed wall on one side and are arranged in two small seating areas on the other. The wait staff brings the traditional half sours, dills, and cole slaw to the table along with a fairly extensive menu. Although the food is quite good, Wendy does not feel that it is a "comfortable" place. The service was fast, friendly, and courteous. We would return is we wanted a solid, reasonably priced meal AND we were in the neighborhood.

attractive presentation. DESSERT: OTHER: Parking may be
